The joints are machine components for motion transmission between two shafts, whose axes are arranged at an angle. The margin between the maximum and minimum speed of the driven shaft depends on the angle between the two shafts. The margin increases with the increase of the angle.
The use of universal joints with roller bearings type S, G / GB is recommended for low-speed drives (up to 1000 rpm). They can withstand heavy loads, change of rotation direction, relatively high rotation torque. For high speed drives, relatively low torques or larger angles, the use of universal joints with needle roller bearings – type H is recommended. They can uphold up to 4000 rpm.
