What are roller troughs
Roller troughs (troughing idlers) are steel frames for mounting the carrying rollers of belt conveyors, giving the belt a troughed shape to carry bulk materials without spillage to the sides. They come in two versions — 3-roller (a horizontal centre roller plus 2 angled side rollers) for a wider range of applications, and 2-roller (symmetrically angled, no centre roller) for more compact conveyors.
The angle of the side rollers is adjustable to customer request — from 10° to 45° on the 3-roller version and from 10° to 40° on the 2-roller version — which determines the shape and capacity of the belt trough.
