Metal elevator buckets COLUMBUS DIN 15232

COLUMBUS metal elevator buckets are manufactured to DIN 15232, in deep form and open form, with 14 sizes — from L=80 to L=400 mm. Used for transporting grain, flour, fodder, cement and other bulk materials in bucket elevators.

Plastic elevator buckets COLUMBUS

The plastic version of the COLUMBUS buckets follows the same 14 sizes and the same bolt-hole spacing, but is significantly lighter — available in polyethylene or nylon, making it suitable for lighter, less abrasive bulk products.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between deep and open form buckets?

Deep form has a larger volume at the same length L and is used for lighter, free-flowing materials. Open form is shallower and wider at the base (extra L1 dimension), with better emptying — preferred for stickier or coarser materials.

Metal or plastic buckets?

Metal COLUMBUS buckets are more resistant to abrasive materials and higher temperatures. Plastic buckets (polyethylene/nylon) are lighter, reduce the load on the elevator belt, and do not corrode — suitable for food, flour and lighter bulk products.

What is the bolt-hole pattern?

All four versions (metal/plastic, deep/open) follow the same number and layout of mounting holes for each size L, listed in the "Holes" column — 2 holes for smaller sizes, 3-4 for larger ones.
