Product Overview
Motovario B series are helical bevel gear reducers with a right-angle (90°) between input and output shafts. The combination of helical and spiral bevel gearing delivers high mechanical efficiency and low-noise operation. The series covers cast iron (sizes 063–163) and aluminium BA series (A40–A70), with power up to 90 kW and torque up to 13,000 Nm. Nibora Ltd offers B series on request.

What is the difference between B series and H series?
H series are inline (coaxial) gearboxes – input and output on the same axis. B series are helical-bevel with a 90° right angle between input and output. Choose B when the motor and driven machine must be at right angles.
Difference between cast iron B and aluminium BA?
Cast iron B (063–163): heavy-duty, up to 13,000 Nm and 90 kW. Aluminium BA (A40–A70): lighter, up to 450 Nm and 7 kW – an alternative to NMRV when a right-angle drive is needed.
What is a Gleason bevel gear?
Gleason is a manufacturing method for spiral bevel gears ensuring gradual meshing and lower noise. In B series, Gleason bevel gears form the second reduction stage.
Maximum power?
Up to 90 kW (B143–163, 3 stages). B063–080: up to 15 kW; B100–125: up to 45 kW.
ATEX available?
Yes – 2GD/3GD, T=135°C (T4). Specify zone when ordering.
