Product Overview
Motovario S series gear reducers are parallel shaft helical gearboxes with shaft mounted design, specifically engineered for conveyor, screw conveyor and transport system drives. The hollow output shaft mounts directly onto the driven shaft, while the gearbox is held by a torque arm — no additional frame or support required. Grey cast iron housing, 5 sizes (050–120), 2 or 3 reduction stages, power up to 45 kW. Nibora Ltd offers the S series on request — contact us for a quote and delivery time.

What is the difference between S series and H series?
H series are inline (coaxial) helical gearboxes where input and output shafts share the same axis. S series are also parallel shaft helical gearboxes, but the key difference is the mounting: the hollow output shaft mounts directly on the driven machine shaft (conveyor, auger), while the housing is held by a torque arm. This eliminates the need for an additional mounting frame.
What is the maximum power of S series gearboxes?
Up to 45 kW for size S120 with 2 stages. For smaller sizes: S050 up to 3 kW, S060 up to 6.3 kW, S080 up to 11.4 kW, S100 up to ~22 kW.
What gear ratios are available?
2-stage units: i ≈ 7–75. 3-stage units: i ≈ 74–315. The combination of 2 and 3 stages gives an exceptionally wide range of output speeds.
Can S series gearboxes be used in ATEX environments?
Yes – ATEX version 2GD/3GD, T=135°C (T4), certified per Directive 94/9/CE, is available on request. Please specify the zone when enquiring.
What is the delivery time?
Typically 5–15 working days for standard configurations. Special versions (ATEX, shrink disc, non-standard shaft) – confirmed individually.
